ANAMBRA APC CONGRATULATES AREGBESOLA By Okelo Madukaife

New York[RR] Awka–Anambra State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has congratulated the re-elected governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for what the chapter called ‘snatching victory from the jaws of anti-democratic threats’

In a release in Oshogbo on Sunday, shortly after the a declaration of Aregbesola and duly elected by the State of Osun returning officer for INEC, and Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University Prof Bamitale Omole, Anambra
State Publicity Secretary of APC, Arc Okelo Madukaife said ‘Aregbeesola’s victory is one which took him across seven rivers of injustice, seven mountains of campaign of hatred and seven ravines of electoral perversion’.

The chapter urged Aregbesola to make his second tenure in office better than the first by consolidating hid legacies and further raising the human development index of a people whose demonstrable love, passion and commitment have withstood the gun barrels and scaremongering to express their avowed confidence in their Omoluabi.

‘There is obviously something to take away from the State of Osun to the rest of Nigeria, particularly in elections yet to come, about how, the voting populace can frame their view, nurture it guard it and find courage to protect it against state-sponsored derailment before mid-wifing same to success.’ Madukaife declared , asking the voters to prepare for more rivers to cross as the sacred mandate must be guarded until fully delivered in a swearing ceremony in November this year and supported till the expiration of the tenure in November 2018.

Anambra APC called on INEC to go ahead and prosecute all staff members and other members of the public found wanting in areas that fall short of the law in the just-concluded gubernatorial elections for forestall future occurrences, noting that there were obviously marginal improvements form the conduct of the Ekiti Gubernatorial elections which must be sustained.

Here, however urged INEC to prepare to work with only Police, Civil Defence and the only such arms of the security services trained to engage with the public for future elections, while insisting that every human being involved in the process of future elections must be accredited and tagged, irrespective of role.
