‘Buhari’s advancement in the military was a Caliphate agenda aimed at holding other sections of the federation down..’–Kolawole Onifade

New York[RR]Abuja–All Progressive Congress, APC leadership is facing academic fraud crisis, as its flag-bearer Mohammadu Buhari cannot produce his WASC certificate claim under “Affidavit”, as here-to-for submitted to Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Republic Reporters investigations show.

According to Kolawole Onifade, folks needs to pipe-down or remain mute on this certificate scandal. He said, “The denouement will definitely show one or a combination of these:

“General Buhari does not have the requisite qualification for admission into the Nigerian Military Academy; Despite 1 above, Buhari was admitted as a “special catchment” candidate with lowered or out rightly ignored qualification; Given 2 above, Buhari is not qualified because his admission nullified whatever claim to a Masters Degree. His admission was a nullity as he was not qualified in the first place; just like undergraduates with fraudulent WASCE or GCE are systematically weeded off the University as late at 400 level even if they had a first class CGPA and University Certificates are withdrawn years after award/admission into a degree by the University Senate if admission was based on fraud; Buhari’s advancement in the military was a Caliphate agenda aimed at holding other sections of the federation down..”, he warned.

Republic Reporters investigations show that APC is complete disarray right now, as the debate on Buhari’s Certificate claims pushes APC presidential candidate and his supporters to the corner of political irrelevance.

All Progressive Congress, APC, presidential candidate running on integrity is bogged down on possible perjury as indicators now show that he claimed WASC which he submitted to Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, swear under oath (affidavit). Indeed Buhari lied under his claimed “Affidavit,” that positions him for disqualification. Other “Certificates”, is irrelevant right now, if he shows “certificates”, that validates, and certificate matches what he claimed on the Affidavit, then he is good to go, Republic Reporters investigations show.

Meanwhile, constitutional lawyer, Prof. Itse Sagay, says the qualification Maj.Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) has is equivalent to a Master’s degree.
His words: ” “This whole discussion of Buhari’s qualification is a negative distraction from the legitimate process of electioneering which should involve issues, records of the candidates, their character, and their capacity to govern. These are things we should be talking about.

“The constitution is very clear on the issue of qualification. It states that you are qualified to be a President if you have achieved the level of school certificate or its equivalent. Buhari has been to Military College in Britain, he has been to colleges in India and USA, involving high level of training and intellect.

“We need to ask if participation and completion of courses at these levels and the basic officers training in Mons Officers Cadet School are less than school certificates. On the contrary, you need school certificate to attend those courses. So, if he has attended all those courses, then there is absolutely no need to be talking about secondary school certificates anymore.

“So, this man attended secondary school and we hear he was even the head boy. He has been to the Cadet School in Mons, he attended the War College in the US and was given a certificate which is equivalent to a master’s degree. He added, “If I may add, how has the Ph.D of the President helped this country?” he fumed.

Curiously staunch-supporters of Buhari and his handlers rather than admit this certificate scandal said that People Democratic Party and its supporters are demonizing Buhari to score a political point.

Opponents think otherwise.
Chartered Accountant, Joe Attueyi, said Buhari committed perjury.
His words: “You ask a valid question. Yes Buhari’s opponents are making political hay of his lack of WASC. Nothing wrong with that. It is a legitimate way of proving he is not a better candidate. And the fact that he got away with it previously is not a good argument for overlooking it today. You can’t make that argument with a traffic cop can you? I beat the red light 3 times last week and you did not stop me. Why are you stopping me now!

“And it does raise a moral / philosophical dilemma does it not? In 1999 Salisu Buhari an old boy of Kings College Lagos won a seat in the HOR from Kano and with OBJ’s support won the election to be speaker of the HOR. It turned out that in his INEC forms he had falsely claimed to be a graduate of Toronto University in Canada. When a majority of those who today are saying it does not matter found this out they hounded Salisu Buhari till he resigned the office of speaker! Bear in mind that a degree is not a prerequisite for the becoming a member of HOR or becoming speaker. Salisu Buhari’s WASC met the constitutional requirement.

“So I ask the question: IF it does not matter that Buhari (the older) can claim WASC in his INEC form, and swear an affidavit that the claim is true when he clearly does NOT have WASC should we not be apologizing to Salisu Buhari? And to Evan(s) Enwerem too while we are at it.

“..the debate is about the school certificate result of a man who has been an army general and head of state and the only person who says he gives a dam about corruption.

“Is that not the irony of Nigeria? That a man who claims to ‘give a damn about corruption’ seems to have built his long career on a foundation of academic fraud? What was the entry qualification into NMTS ( now NDA) when he was admitted there?

Continuing he said, “I am a chartered accountant by training. Prior to passing my professional exams I got a degree in accounting from Univ of Nigeria ( a degree in accounting is NOT a prerequisite for becoming a chartered accountant). Assuming a president Buhari appoints me a minister and senate is considering my nomination and it turns out that while I am indeed a chartered accountant with years of experience my claim that I attended UNN was false–what would you recommend to the senate? That they clear me as minister of possibly finance? Hopefully your answer should be yes for consistency. It should not matter that I lied on oath about having a degree since a degree is not a prerequisite to becoming a minister. And I have had a relatively successful career without the degree. And anyway the president who nominated me lied on oath that he had WASC when he did not and he is president..”, he said.

According to George Kerley, PDP’s project Campaign Manager to re-elect Goodluck Jonathan, nobody is demonizing APC’s presidential candidate, Mohammadu Buhari, rather, APC and Buhari were the ones demonizing and calling Jonathan clueless, incompetent, go-slow, and other unprintable names.
His words: “So APC is telling the PDP to stop demonizing their principal General Buhari? Unbelievable! Such children of darkness!
“They seek change? Yet they refuse to acknowledge PROGRESS, TRANSFORMATION & GROWTH!

“Are these not the same people who have worked so hard to demonized and undermine President Jonathan? There is no lie that they have not told about President Jonathan!

“Is a lie that General Buhari overthrew a democratically election in December 1983? Is it a lie that Buhari who today touts himself as an anti corruption czar accepted a job under the most corrupt and dictatorial regime of Abacha that did not only LOOT Nigeria but ordered the assassination of Kudirat ABIOLA, Pa Rewane, Alex Ibru?

“Is it a lie that Buhari threw politicians and kept them in horrifying prisons even when nothing was found against them? Is it a lie that Buhari pressured the judge in Fela’s case to find Fela guilty?

“Is it a lie that Beko Ransome Kuti was thrown into jail for calling for the release of his brother?

“Is it a lie that 62 year old Tai Solarin, who initially welcomed the Buhari coup, was slammed into prison for one year, four months and 26 days because he demanded the removal of draconian laws of the Buhari junta? Was speaking up for ordinary Nigerians also corruption in that era where we were ruled by a near illiterate General?

“Is it a lie that Nigerians found it difficult to buy food during the Buhari regime and we’re living in absolute fear?

“Professor Osibanjo should go to the archives and find out that General Buhari sentenced another Professor, the dearly beloved Professor Ambrose Folorunsho Alli, Governor of Bendel State from 1979 – 1983 to 100 YEARS for NOTHING!..Professor Ambrose Alli, popularly known as the Governor who went to work in sandals, was only released from jail when the Esama of Benin, Chief Igbinedion, in anger, went to pay a fine for Professor Alli!….Professor Ambrose Alli died not too long after. On his 60th birthday. May God forgive General Buhari.

“Is it a lie that General Babangida closed down the maximum security detention centers that Buhari kept more than 70 innocent Nigerians including Journalists who dared to question his regime and its draconian laws?

“What is wrong these followers of a General who set out with his colleagues to plot and overthrow their principal, President Shehu Shagari? Is it a lie that Buhari retrenched hundreds of thousands of Nigerians from the work force during his regime and inflicted unbelievable poverty and hardship on millions of Nigerians?

“Is it also a lie that Buhari was part of a government that ordered the execution of our 8 illustrious Ogoni sons including our reverted Ken Saro Wiwa, Saturday Dorbee, Nordu Eawo, Daniel Gbooko, Paul Levera, Felix Nuate, John Kpuine, Dr Barinem Kiobel and Baribor Bera?”, he fumed.

Did General Buhari, a former head of state, stand up for these people when Abacha denied these people access to a COUNSEL, A FAIR TRIAL AND ANY OPPORTUNITY to APPEAL the decision of the tribunal to EXECUTE them and have their bodies destroyed in ACID?

What is wrong with US?? Did this Buhari speak up against the ills of the Abacha junta at that time? Can any of his supporters give us any evidence, even one, in which Buhari stood up for the Nigerian people in the face of that tyranny?

“Is it a lie that Buhari who says he wants to fight corruption is now being sponsored by some of the most corrupt politicians in the Nigerian space?

“Is it a lie that hate messages are currently being generated, preached and recorded in certain mosques in Northern Nigeria and General Buhari has turned his eyes away from oil that?…even as he campaigns across the country and preaches one Nigeria?

“Let these renegades come out and tell us..”, he said.

On other front, All Progressive Congress, APC, said that Buhari will soon make his certificate public. Buhari’s aide said.
His words: “Following Buhari’s application, the Defence Headquarters released GMB’s certificates today and the certificates will soon be presented for the visibility of Nigerians”

Buhari had told reporters in Igweocha that he had decided to speak on the allegations in order to bring to an end the distractions being caused by the continuous misinformation, but didn’t show his WASC Certificate.

He added, “I have contested three times under the same rules set by the Independent National electoral Commission (INEC), where there is basic education qualification you must have and I was allowed to contest all these elections because my certificate was in order”.

Tochukwu Ezeoke said PDP, and APC, take Nigerians for a ride. His words: “his assertion is not true because the rule changed in 2011, that candidates must submit their credentials with their forms. The rule prior to 2011 was that candidate should state their qualifications. Bear in mind, in 2011, he filled in that he had diploma and in 2015 he filled in that he has WASC. So why the discrepancy. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. The sad part is; why didn’t he use the interview to clear the air? Why can’t he say, I had my WASC or GCE or NDA result in 1960 at …”, he added.

“My honest assessment is that the two major parties think that we are all idiots and can bully us with their egoist nonsense”, he fumed.

Army Public Relations Director, Brig-Gen. Olajide Laleye said Nigerian army doesn’t refuse anyone his or her certificate, just follow the procedure.
Mr. Laleye, added, “there is a laid down procedure for requesting for one’s certificates, which was well known to all serving and retired officer.

Adding that “If you want anything checked in your file, you simply follow the due process and it would be given to you because the credentials belong to you. He said the Nigerian Army does not refuse to anybody his credentials if due process is followed. Not only does the Nigerian Army keep these things, the individual officers, whether serving or retired, have copies..”, he said.

According to Kolawole Onifade, “…you’re better off keeping mute on this certificate scandal. The denouement will definitely show one or a combination of these:

“Gene. Buhari does not have the requisite qualification for admission into the Nigerian Military Academy; Despite 1 above, Buhari was admitted as a “special catchment” candidate with lowered or out rightly ignored qualification; Given 2 above, Buhari is not qualified because his admission nullified whatever claim to a Masters Degree.

Buhari said he had contested three times under same rules set by the INEC where the basic educational qualifications had applied.
“Why didn’t Nigerians ask when I contested three times under the same rules set by the INEC whether the basic educational qualification had been met and I was allowed to contest all these elections because my certificate was in order.
“There are individuals who wrote to the United States War College and the college responded and it was published by some of your papers.

“So really, this desperation for misinformation that is being passed around will do nobody any good because our minds are being diverted from the serious issues of corruption and incompetence by the PDP,” he said.

Buhari added: “I have contested three times under the same rules set by the Independent National electoral Commission (INEC), where there is basic education qualification you must have and I was allowed to contest all these elections because my certificate was in order”.
Commentators are castigating Buhari’s response on issues at hand: WASC Certificate. Certain Tochukwu Ezeoke said: “his assertion is not true because the rule changed in 2011, that candidates must submit their credentials with their forms. Why can’t he say, I had my WASC or GCE or NDA result in 1960 at …?
“My honest assessment is that the two major parties think that we are all idiots and can bully us with their egoist nonsense”, he concluded.

Therefore seeking to lay the matter to rest once and for all, Buhari finally filed application for the Defence Headquarters to release his certificates today and “the certificates will soon be presented for the visibility of Nigerians”. Castigating the over 3,000 demonstrators that converged in Abuja today and that reportedly gave one week ultimatum to the Presidential candidate of the APC to table his certificates before the Independent National Electoral Commission or they will go to court, Buhari’s spokesman in the 2011 presidential election Rotimi Fashakin told reporters.

Mr. Fashakin, added, “”Is someone not in court already?” he queried. .

“The impending defeat has caused the panic button to be exciting all forms of erratic behaviour. In this season of anomie, it is Nigeria that bleeds heavily. It must be noted that the 3,000 protesting youths were ‘settled’ for that ignoble act.”

Fuming over the embarrassment, APC agent, Fashakin said, more than 3,000 protesters in FCT-Abuja are: “Very stupid people indeed! Because they were aware that the Defense Hq released GMB’s certificates today, they quickly arranged this protest so that when the certificates are presented for the visibility of Nigerians, they’d start gloating that it was because of their pressure. This Jonathan government is infantile indeed”, he remarked.

Mr. Top Crest, said Buhari has no WASC.
“Buhari does NOT have a WASC; He may have War college ‘diplomas’ and ‘Koranic School diplomas’ BUT WASC, Zero”, he said.

“Why don’t we wait for the court to order Buhari to produce his WASC and see if he will have none to produce before concluding that he has none? Up until now, he has no compelling reason to go to the Army and get a copy of his WASC. If INEC had insisted on Buhari going to the Army to collect a copy of the certificate(s) and he did not, it would have been a different issue. But INEC was satisfied with an affidavit…”, said, Mr. Ayo Ojutalayo, a staunch Buhari supporter.

Another Buhari sympathizer Steven K, who writes from Washington, DC, USA, said: “If Gen Buhari was given a waiver to enter NMTC by the Nigerian Army, he is good to go because the same Nigerian Army cannot turn around and forfeit his commission. He will be subject to forfeiture only if was admitted because of a WASC or GCE that he submitted for his admission was found to be forged later. Your own scenario.

Continuing he added, “Even if this scenario is true and that Gen. Buhari has no WASC or GCE but was sponsored by the Caliphate or Allah Himself to obtain a waiver from the Nigerian Army, ultimately, the onus for the waiver rests on the Nigerian Army and not the Caliphate or Allah. And the Nigerian Army is part of the government of the federation with authority to grant waivers.

“But all this irrelevant because Gen. Buhari’s highest qualification from the US War College in the US was not based on a waiver sponsored by the Caliphate or Allah Himself; it was based on solid achievement for the rank of a brigadier..’, he said.
