Update: Citizen Chris Udoh: “We Need 100% of what belongs to us (Oil), Lagos was Built 100% with Niger Delta money, Stop throwing crumbs at us, you can’t enter my farm; Harvest all my yams and give me a half tuber of yam and expect me to dance; there is no amount of twistings that can justify injustice“–Citizen Chris Udoh

New York[RR]Igweocha-Abuja–Reacting to reports alleging that IPOB, South-South and former Oil Minister Alison Madueke who is based in United Kingdom, UK, organized the protest against Mohammadu Buhari in front of Nigerian High Commission Citizen Chris Udoh said accusers should stop the nonsense.  He said even if Alison Madueke looted the treasury, she only did what IBB, Abacha, Obasanjo and others did, wondered why the focus is centered on former Oil Minister Diezani Alison Madueke.

In his words: “When men don’t want to take responsibility for their actions they turn around to blame grasses for extinction of timbers. Don’t ask me to account for the crumbs that you dropped. We need 100% of what belongs to us.

“Lagos state was built 100% with Niger Delta money. At certain stage, contractors were paid with raw oil.. They were asked to lift oil for free! Abuja was bought, surveyed and built from the scratch with our money.
Why are you asking me not to bother about how 99.98% of my monies are being harvested and spent by strangers but to die over the 0.02% crumbs that is being thrown at us like dogs. The mentality of thinking that someone is doing us a favour by giving us crumbs from what rightly belongs to us must change. It must stop. You cannot enter my farm; Harvest all my yams and give me a half tuber of yam and I start dancing for you.. Next you want to know how I ate the peace of yam while you become angry when I challenge the rationale for taking my remaining yams.
Adding that, “We want 100% of our resources. If you say we can’t have it, let me know the reason why. Everyone has his own resources but we are not sharing from them. Why come and take my own.
“My brother, there is no amount of twistings that can justify injustice”, he warned.
Certain Ola Kassim, MD, wondered what Niger Delta will do with oil after 2050. “… What would the Niger Delta do then with the remainder of of its crude oil reserves the after 2050?..Ola Kassim.

Citizen Chris Udoh: “God bless you for above observation. This is the main reason why we must takeover 100% of this resources now so that we can use it to grow alternative economy that can be sustainable beyond oil. Waiting for Abuja to offer you peanuts every month will not help us.

“Nigeria is not growing or moving forward. Our progression is mere counting of calendar days and years. Even when you have an idea to execute, you have to go get “government approval or documents” from one Yoruba or Hausa man in ‘authority” and he will deny you. Sometimes the bribes that go with it will be to high for you to bear. Most times refusal happens out of ethnic hate.

“It’s terrible to share a country with people who will label you a “minority” in order to deprive you of what is yours. Meanwhile nobody was created a minority.

“Look, when this oil finishes or is no longer a cash cow we in the Niger Delta will suffer the most because the so called “one Nigeria” Yoruba and Hausa brothers will not allow us to benefit from their resources..

“The Yorubas are developing alternative economy. They have infrastructure, they have sea ports, they have institutions, all of which were developed by our resources. The Hausas have vast fertile farmlands and irrigation dams that were built by our money, they can also survive after oil. Beyond polluted lands and degraded environment,  what do we have to show for our oil wealth. Will I be telling my grand children that we once had oil but someone stole them.

“Nigeria as is will continue to plummet downwards. But we will be better off when divided as independent nations. By that time Innoson motors will not be forced by one hausa man or a Yoruba man in ‘authority’ to move his factory to the north or to lagos as a precondition for his existence.
We in Akwa will not have to compare ourselved with states in Africa but to stand out in technology and growth.

“Well, I don’t need to say too much because we will not need your approval to cede, all that we need is to keep educating our own people.. Once we are able to move their mentality out of the old master servant slavery believes, the job is done.

“How could people have been cheating us for this long and we kept quiet. Thank God this spell is over.

Certain Ola Kassim, MD, said this:”Brother Chris: I will readily concede that you have anchored your grievances on a few solid grounds that cannot be easily ignored. Most decent  Nigerians from outside of the Niger Delta would agree that a lot of injustice has been Inflicted on the peoples of Niger Delta by successive governments of Nigeria since independence.

“However, It is also equally true that billions of Naira have been poured into the SS region of Nigeria since the last 5 decades with Akwa Ibom, your state of origin being the recipient of the largest amount of funds transferred to all states and FCT Abuja annually per capita and in aggregate.
“In addition to the statutory allocations oil producing states have also been the beneficiaries of the 13% derivation factor and the successive highly funded programs aimed at developing the  Niger  Delta region.
“Notwithstanding that  SS has the most difficult terrains for infrastructure development all other Nigerians should ask the following questions:
“What have your leaders at federal, state and local government levels done to improve the lot of your peoples from the billions of Naira transferred from Abuja and the  many  economic aids received from multilateral international institutions like the I M F, World Bank, UNESCO, Gates Foundation etc. In the last 6 decades.
“Instead of holding your leaders accountable you have continued to sing their praises.  You have described GEJ and Deziani as ‘formidable leaders’ who have done well for the nation. You do not ask what they have done for the Ogoni, the Ijaw and other Niger Deltans.
It it the fault of other Nigerians when your own governors decide to build monuments to mark their tenures rather focus on more practical infrastructure projects from the huge amounts transferred monthly from Abuja,
You do not ask your governors and other SS political why they chose to build the largest sports arenas in Africa while neglecting to build good roads and bridges that would transfer people to the stadia and other regions in your states.
You do not ask where Mrs Patience got the billions of Naira she spent on building her luxury hotel in Yenagoa and hundreds of other properties throughout Nigeria.
You do not ask why Mrs Patience Jonathan chose to donate the sum of 1 million USD to the Toronto East General Hospital Foundation in exchange for affixing her name on a plaque on a small pash of grass -(recreational park)named in her honour instead of donating the same amount of money to alleviate hunger and many other needs in Bayelsa state and other states in the Niger Delta.
“The late former Gov Alams and James Ibori were welcome back home with pomp and pageantry after skipping bail or after serving years in Prison in the UK. I could go on with more examples but it would serve no other useful purpose
“Charity begins at home. You need to start holding your political leaders accountable before blaming all other Nigerians for the problems faced daily by Niger Delta.
“Tribalism can never solve the myriad thorny problems faced daily by the peoples of Niger Delta and other states and zones in Nigeria!”, Ola Kassim, MD, added.
