New York[RR]Abuja–Reacting to report captioned: “Buhari criticises Nigerian youth as lazy, uneducated”, Citizen femi Olajide said “man don suffer for this country”, “Kai, Buhari who has no WASC-Certificate, freeloading on Nigeria all his life, called struggling youths, Lazy, uneducated..we don suffer for this country”–Citizen Femi Olajide
His words: “Kai! We don suffer for this country. See man wey no complete WASC and has been free loading on the Nigerian state all his life calling young people struggling for life ‘lazy’?”,fumed Citizen Femi Olajide.
Additionally, “He said ‘some’ youth and I do agree with him. Not all youth. Most of the youth who complain of unemployment are basically unemployable because of their attitude to work and dysfunctional education they received in our universities.
“During a spell of interview that I conducted a while back to employ graduate staff for my Office in Lagos, I saw the worst of Nigerian youth masquerading as potential leaders of tomorrow. Lawyers who have passed through law school and yet cannot write a simple application. Uni Graduates who cannot string two sentences together and the list goes on and on.
“Most of the problems are caused by the state of the nation but then how do we explain away those who still excel from the dysfunctional system”, he said.
Buhari’s words: “And then the economy. We have a very young population and our population is estimated conservatively to be 180 million. The 60 percent of the population is below the age of 30. A lot of them have not been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria has been an oil producing country and therefore they should sit and do nothing and get housing, healthcare and education free,”
The moderator had asked Buhari to give his final thoughts on the issues discussed. The President said he had fulfilled his campaign promises by improving on the nation’s security and the economy.
Certain Abiola K. added his own word to Buhari’s insults calling youths: lazy, uneducated: “Buhari is the most illiterate president in the whole world, Nigeria youth that struggle to go school yet…”Glory to Almighty God for what is going on in Nigeria now, when Northerners as seeing Nigeria as their own country/ Islamic country but God of Israeli will arise and fight those that fight us in Jesus name amen”, he said.
