Update: Citizen Femi Olajide: “Kai, ‘man don suffer for this country, see Buhari without WASC-Certificate, freeloading on Nigeria all his life, called struggling youths, Lazy, uneducated..man don suffer for this country”–Citizen Femi Olajide

New York[RR]Abuja–Reacting to report captioned: “Buhari criticises Nigerian youth as lazy, uneducated”, Citizen femi Olajide said “man don suffer for this country”, “Kai, Buhari who has no WASC-Certificate, freeloading on Nigeria all his life, called struggling youths, Lazy, uneducated..we don suffer for this country”–Citizen Femi Olajide

His words: “Kai! We don suffer for this country. See man wey no complete WASC and has been free loading on the Nigerian state all his life calling young people struggling for life ‘lazy’?”,fumed Citizen Femi Olajide.

Additionally, “He said ‘some’ youth and I do agree with him. Not all youth. Most of the youth who complain of unemployment are basically unemployable because of their attitude to work and dysfunctional education they received in our universities.

“During a spell of interview that I conducted a while back to employ graduate staff for my Office in Lagos, I saw the worst of Nigerian youth masquerading as potential leaders of tomorrow. Lawyers who have passed through law school and yet cannot write a simple application. Uni Graduates who cannot string two sentences together and the list goes on and on.

“Most of the problems are caused by the state of the nation but then how do we explain away those who still excel from the dysfunctional system”, he said.

Buhari’s words: “And then the economy. We have a very young population and our population is estimated conservatively to be 180 million. The 60 percent of the population is below the age of 30. A lot of them have not been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria has been an oil producing country and therefore they should sit and do nothing and get housing, healthcare and education free,”

The moderator had asked Buhari to give his final thoughts on the issues discussed. The President said he had fulfilled his campaign promises by improving on the nation’s security and the economy.

Certain Abiola K. added his own word to Buhari’s insults calling youths: lazy, uneducated: “Buhari is the most illiterate president in the whole world, Nigeria youth that struggle to go school yet…”Glory to Almighty God for what is going on in Nigeria now, when Northerners as seeing Nigeria as their own country/ Islamic country but God of Israeli will arise and fight those that fight us in Jesus name amen”, he said.

Angry Nigerians upon hearing the statement fired hot shots at him saying the president had no right insulting the youths, who struggle under very hard circumstances to make end meet.

Peter Ayodele Fayose: “At 19, President Buhari left Secondary School to join the Army. At age 21,he was commissioned a second lieutenant and appointed Platoon Commander of the Second Infantry Battalion in Abeokuta, Nigeria. Where can our youths get such opportunity today?
Reno Omokri said Buhari just described himself in his words. “He is describing himself. He sits and does nothing at Aso Rock. He gets free housing at the Presidential Villa. He spends 103 days in London and we pay for it! Joblessness makes him talk anyhow!
Omokri added: “Imagine Buhari saying Nigeria’s youth are not educated! Between Buhari and Nigeria’s youth who hired 13 SANs to prevent from showing his WAEC certificate? It‘s Buhari’s education that is dubious and not that of Nigeria’s youth who love education enough to seek it home and abroad!
“How can you in one breath say that your country’s youth are lazy and don’t want to work and in the next you appeal to foreign investors to come and invest in Nigeria? Someone please explain to Buhari that a father who calls his daughter a prostitute should not expect suitors!
Omojuwa: “President Buhari GOOFED on his statements on Nigerian Youths in London. It is actually impossible for one to believe a president would say that about his own citizens, especially without isolating those who work hard and are helping the country shine across different disciplines.
G. Kakanda: “Buhari unscripted is a PR disaster for Nigeria. He told them abroad we’re not welcome because of our crimes, here he told us we’re an impatient people, and now he told them Nigerian youths are lazy. It’s like your Dad telling your potential in-laws you’re an irresponsible person.
Farooq Ekperogi, PhD: “Buhari supervises a govt that engages in secretive, illegal employment of d children and relatives of high-ranking political elites while millions of brilliant, hardworking but underprivileged pple vegetate in misery, yet he goes 2 London & calls young Nigerians lazy & uneducated
