Update: Corrupt Bolaji Aluko Appoints Paul Adujie, as the Senior Legal Officer To Otuoke Fed University: “I am Not Sure Adujie Has been Called To Nigerian Bar..”–Nebukadineze Adiele

New York[RR] Otuoke–Bolaji Aluko, son of late Economist, Sam Aluko, who served as Economic Adviser to Finance Minister Obafemi Awolowo, under rogue military dictatorship of Yakubu Gowon who engineered, via criminal ethnic-decrees that encouraged the slogan, “starvation as a weapon of war”, By Awolowo that ultimately killed more than 3.5million Biafrans during the Bifra-Nigeria civil war, 1967 to 1970. VC Bolaji Aluko, son of dubious Sam Aluko, appointed his friends and cronies, including anti-Biafra, pro-“One-Nigeria-nationalist”, Paul Adujie as Senior Legal Officer to Otuoke Federal University, Bayelsa state. The appointment has triggered massive criticism from observers who now questions the credibility of these shady appointments, Republic Reporters has learned.

Curiously, students Union Government, SUG, Otuoke, at the Otuoke University launched a massive protests at the same federal University calling for the dismissal of VC, Bolaji Aluko, with posters with slogans: “Our VC, is a thief”, “Pack your bag, or Pack your bones, and return to Ekiti..”, reports said.

Respected commentator, Nebukadineze Adiele, and others are questioning the credibility of VC, Aluko, with respect to these questionable appointments and such.

Adiele reacting to another comment by certain Ayo, said: “Ayo, you gave no bait and no one jumped at anything. You, as typical, were clueless as to why I questioned Bolaji Aluko’s appointment of his buddy, Paul Adujie, as the Senior Legal Officer to the university to which he is VC. I am not sure that Paul Adujie has been called to the Nigerian Bar, which, if he has not been called, makes him unqualified to hold the position that Bolaji gleefully announced that he holds at his university. Here are the reasons for my query, since you never get anything unless it is broken down to you to the most simplistic format.

“If Adujie has not been called to the Bar in Nigeria, and Bolaji Aluko wururuly hired him to the position he holds now, it means that Adujie is practicing law in Nigeria without a license in that jurisdiction. Practicing law without a license in any jurisdiction is a criminal act by any imposter lawyer and those who knowingly hire him/her to practice such law. Practicing law does not begin and end with going to court; being a Senior Legal Officer to a university constitutes practicing law. With respect to Paul Adujie, I do not know his standing with the Nigerian Bar, so I could not make any categorical statement, so I floated the question but all you saw out of that question was tribe. How pitiful?

Adding, “Bolaji Aluko was a drum major for the placard carrying protesters against president Obsanjo’s hiring of Ngozi Okonja Iweala about a decade ago. Bolaji and his hirelings claimed that Okonja’s hiring from Diaspora and salary payment in dollars were illegal and should be truncated. He subsequently sent Sowero to Iweala’s house with a map to harass her family. Why must Bolaji Aluko not be called a hypocrite today for hiring Adujie from the Diaspora? In what denomination is Adujie being paid salary, naira or dollar? I do not have an answer to either question and that was why I floated the question but all you read from the question was tribe.

Finally, he said, “Paul Adujie, a nice fellow, is not the issue, Bolaji Aluko’s hypocrisy and double standard application are. Adujie’s tribe is not relevant to me — as a matter of fact, he is in the league of Olola Kassim in being detribalized. He has written repeatedly in glorification of his Nigerian-ness while unequivocally denouncing ethnicism/tribalism, up to refusing to identify his tribe. Do you now see why you are the kettle, the pot, and the coal tar, not just black?

VC, reading these massive allegations against his person and Mr. Paul Adujie, in time past on these fora aggressively declined to identify his ethnicity, claiming rather dubious, “One-Nigeria-ness”, said:

“Nebukadineze, You are egregiously supercilious and superlatively silly. But that is beside the point.Let me now respond to your two questions – not for your benefit, because you are un-teachable – but for those reading me:

“Paul Adujie graduated with a Law degree in Nigeria 1983, and attended Law School in Nigeria 1984 , and did in National Service in Benue State in Makurdi in the Ministry of Justice, and Central Bank. He practiced in a law firm in Lagos for five years before migrating abroad. . He has now migrated back, and is doing well, thank you. He is one of the hardest working persons in the university…..and I pass a lot of legal documents through him. [Although I knew him on the Net and in person abroad for over 10 years, I never knew or cared that he was from Edo State – that he was even Esan – until he was hired and had to disclose same on his CV, according to official format. As you rightly stated, he is a chronic Nigerian nationalist.] You do not have sufficient honor to apologize to him or to me for your insinuations, so I will not be demanding it.

Stating that his salary which nobody asked him is in Naira currency and much more.

“My salary as VC is paid in Naira, so is Paul’s and so is EVERY other staff, Nigerian or otherwise. So any hypocrisy is in your febrile imagination. I opposed paying a Nigerian – or ANYBODY sef – in Nigeria in any currency other than Naira. The Central Bank should make it easy to do the Naira conversions to any currency – and that should be it. The international acceptability of many credit and debit cards in Nigeria make that infinitely easier these days.

“I do not take any of you “ama njakiri” as such….or that of your fellow co-travelers. Many of you, with you as the literate Sergeant Major, are all cultural savages, dangerous ethnicists and criminal blackmailers, certain versions of Boko Haram, and possibly current and future sponsors of similar persons in Nigeria and elsewhere, the way you write derisively of other Nigerians (“Yoroba”, “Awusa”, “Kukuruku”, etcheram, ad nauseum). You do not belong in polite and civilized company.

Yeye Rolling, said: “The question here is simple.. Why would a Nigerian University hire an American based Lawyer that possibly has not practiced law in Nigeria in possibly many years. It stinks!

Nebukadineze Adiele, however, didn’t hesitate to respond to Mr. Bolaji Aluko’s disparaging remarks against his person on curious Paul Adujie’s appointment at federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa state.

Mr.Adiele started by addressing Mr. Bolaji Aluko’s first sentence.
He said: “VC Aluko,Let me start by addressing your first sentence. If I am supercilious and silly, then you are three times that because I have always measured you with the standard that you set and that you had applied to others. The problem with you are two folds: you are what Igbos call “Ogbu nmadu ndu na agu” (a murderer who treasures his own life or his own living); and you are a dictator in the molds of Abacha and Obasanjo combined.

Moving on………

“The questions you answered about Paul Adujie are some of your positive attributes — being able to turn any occasion into a teachable moment. You should thank me for posing that question because most people here assumed that you had taken cronyism (with respect to hiring your friends, praise singers, concubines, etc.) to the same height for which you besmirched politicians before you joined the parade-plying in mourning Nigeria. I shall offer apology neither to you nor to Paul Aduji because there is no reason for such an apology whatsoever. As a Nigerian, I have every right to pose that question and you demonstrated one of the things that America taught you by answering the question.

“Ima Njakiri” is healthy, humbling, and human. I respect “Ima (not ama) Njakiri” because it is another route to exhibiting intellectual prowess but I am never on an “Ima Njakiri” trip whenever I use the names, Awusa, Yoroba, Kukuruku, Inyanmiri, etc. First, ask anyone (not just Igbo) from the former Eastern Region to pronounce any of the names and I will cease using them if anyone consciously says “Hausa”, or “Yoruba”. Why is that important?

He added, that, “Neither Hausa nor Yoruba is the ideal pronunciation of these names. Hausa is actually Bahuashe, which oyibo corrupted into what you demand that I use today. Yoruba is actually Yarriba, a name given to those who bear it today by Fulani traders from Fouta Djalon and other trading areas of West Africa. In order to hold their disparate trading partners as a collective, Fulani devised the name in the late 19th century but oyibo, as usual, corrupted it to Yoruba.

“In writing Awusa and Yoroba, I am actually educating most of you brainwashed Nigerians who believe that every of oyibo’s mistake is the Nigerian excellent norm. I educate fellow Igbos similarly when I write “Owerri” as Owere, its actual name. I do similarly with Oka, instead of Awka; Ikwere, instead of Ikwerre; Onicha, instead of Onitsha; Ijo, instead of Ijaw; Enugwu, instead of Enugu, etc. If I was not being derisive when I write those Igbo names as they should be written, how could I be derisive in writing Awusa and Yoroba in their nearest nativism?

“As for Inyanmiri and Kukuruku, I maintain that they are no longer slurs as they initially were. If you have ever met multiple Awusa people in conversations, and the subject of those conversations is Igbo, but you heard Igbo instead of Inyanmiri whenever Igbo was to be mentioned, I would donate a block to Otueke. I grew up in the North and I speak the language and I can tell you with certainty that Inyanmiri usage has veered away from whatever derogatory imputation that it began as.

“Yes, Kukuruku denoted abject primitivism and boorishness at its inception but like Inyanmiri, it is no longer what it started off as being. If you insist otherwise, why do you still use it? Was it not through your use of it to designate JUI and to register your anger that he voted against your Yoroba candidate Olola Kassim (at NIDO’s election) that we learnt that JUI is Kukuruku? Were you disparaging him when you defined him as such, prof?

“I am done with this explaining and will not explain it again and will not cease using the words as I have used them. Those who want to whine and bitch about it can go on doing so. As for me, there are more important things to do than to be thin skinned over what pet names my neighbors call me. In fact, the only reason I forayed into this explanation was in imitation of your teachable moments’ seizing.

Finally, Adiele, said, “Your unvarnished proclivity to tyranny, vindictiveness, and rotten conservatism make you unfit in an all civilized and enlightened democratic environments. I will always measure you with the same stick with which you measured and pilloried others. That is a promise, which you can consider a threat if you must..”, he added.

Dododawa, “Now Nebu — after this backhand lashing, it may even qualify for what my father will call a dirty slap on Nebu’s face, I can guarantee (but won’t bet a lowly dime on it) Nebu will disappear and then reappear a week later. Like I stated, I will not bet on it, he may choose to withstand this onslaught.

Ayo Ojutalayo, has something to say about reaction from Aluko, to Adiele.
“Nebu,Can you disappoint V.C. Bolaji by apologizing to him and to our learned friend, Paul?

WS, said:”For one who nursed on the breast of tribalism as an infant Ayo Ojutalayo does not seem to know other Nigerians. Every name that is not Yoruba is Igbo according to Ayo’s book. The other day he proclaimed an Ibibio man Igbo. Then he followed it up with a Nupe as also Igbo, Then he went on and assigned a Kanuri man as Igbo, now it is an Edo man that is also Igbo in his book.

“Ayo you are a lazy man. Even in your avocation of tribal separation, you refuse to learn the rudimentaries of the art.

Nebukadineze Adiele: “The question was about his fitness to act in the capacity that VC Aluko allegedly assigned to him. But since you are a tribal war lord, let me lower your blood pressure by informing you that he is Edoid.Any more questions?

Ayo Ojutalayo:”Nebu,Is Paul Adujie not Igbo?

Ezeana Igirigi Achusim: “VC Aluko: With so many police around, tell me, were they there to make some arrests? Or so many policemen just came there to just visit the university? Did Mr. Adujie save the day? The PC could not make any arrests when he met his classmate at FUO? And Adujie is the Senior Legal Officer?

“Anyway, I am glad you were hospitable to Joe. He traveled all the way from Mba Dike, and you could not close the school for a day to honor his visit?

Adding, Achusim, said, “Did you tell VC of Otueke how many feet separate our town homes? Is he going to pay you a return visit at your village home?

Joe Attueyi, had visited Aluko, in Otuoke University Federal, and returned with polite commentaries.
“Folks,Today i finally kept a 4 year old promise to visit Prof Aluko in Otuoke.I attended Fed Poly Akure as the 2 or 3rd set admitted so have first hand knowledge of start up schools.

“VC Aluko has done well for FUO and diaspora Nigerians should be proud of one of their own. BTW today was my first time ever in a VC’s office! I am making progress!

Wilson Iguade: “”You [Nebukadineze Adiele] do not have sufficient honor to apologize to him [Adujie] or to me [VC Aluko] for your insinuations, so I will not be demanding it.” By VC Aluko

“Ayo,What don’t you understand from VC Aluko’s statement above. Let me analyze it for you, even if Nebu apologizes to VC Aluko, it would not “disappoint” nor would it be ADEQUATE to impress Dr. Aluko, because Nebukadineze Adiele “do not have sufficient honor” to meet or exceed ANY expectation of decency or disappointment. Now you know!

Aluko: “Joe Attueyi:Thanks for stopping by at Otuoke…..very much appreciated. It was rather brief visit – and you met me in the midst of many meetings – but I am happy that you were able to briefly meet our Academic Planning Director Prof. Onyedim and you were conducted around the Campus specially by the University PRO :-) It is not too many people I accord that latter honor…..
Best wishes always, Bolaji Aluko, said.

Adding, he said, “..I am happy to have enabled your “inaugural visit” to a VC’s Office….Honestly, you don’t know how many people state this when they come to my office: Just last week, the new and very bubbly Police Commissioner in Bayelsa State (that is he to my left, in the picture below) and his entourage came a-visiting, and he could not stop stating that that was his first visit to a VC’s Office, that in all his years at U. Maiduguri (or so, abi na UNN sef?), he never once did…. It is almost as if the VC-ship in Nigeria is a stratospheric position, but maybe it is the same with University Presidency abroad?…Parenthetically, it turns out that the PC and FUO”s hard-working Senior Legal Officer (Paul Adujie; many of you probably recognize that name!) went to university together (that is he in a tie, to the left of the Police Commissioner), and it was a good re-union with each other.

Igietseme, Joseph: “Pastor Joe Attueyi,”..the volcanic SILENCE from familiar cacophonic personalities around here following your public heart-warming testimony about VC Bolaji’s outstanding performance at FUO was deafening in the Americas, to say the least! Hehehehe!!!

“Thanks for playing the True Lion you are: dignified in speaking to and reporting the FACTs; candidness and forthrightness! Daalu Lion’s Den Companion!!! And take care. JUI [wondering what Pastor Joe was doing at Akure Poly before UNN!]

Ezeana Igirigi Achusim, “UI:You know we love you guys from Edo. It has been argued that there is so much Igbotism in Edoism. But you cannot call this discussion to an end, not with a blatant lie glaring us in the face.

“VC Aluko in his own words, admits knowing Atty. Adujie for over 10 years before hiring him as his Legal Counsel. In his own words, VC Aluko states that when he hired Adujie, he did not know that Adujie was from Edo. Hahaha. Who is out there that believes that VC Aluko did not know that Adujie was not Igbo before he hired him? Who out there believes that VC Aluko knew Adujie for 10 years without knowing that he was not Igbo? And who out there does not know that VC Aluko would not hire an Igbo in Otueke, even for £20 per year.

“Adujie is not Igbo. Miss Mercy Ekott is not Igbo. Joe Atueyi is Igbo. Joe paid a courtesy visit to VC Aluko at FUO. He abbreviated the visit and chased him out of town. A VC that spends most of the day prancing the forums could not spend quality time with an Igbo visiting his university without walls. No pictures. Only a picture of someone in handcuffs surrounded by police is the only picture documenting an Igbo who crossed 7 seas and 7 bridges to visit VC Aluko at Otueke?

“I beg to stop so far. But JUI, we need answers. It does not make a difference what VC Aluko thinks of me or calls me, but it makes a difference what I think of him. I pay his salary.

Wilson Iguade, “As I said in another post, am losing it with this Ezeana dude for choking this audience with his Igboness. It is getting to unbearable point, meaning by law of nature, someone would need to push back.

Adding, that, “Suppose, just suppose an Igbo VC in any university in Nigeria does not want to hire any Yoruba staff or personnel is that NOT the stinking (pronounced) RIGHTS of that Igbo VC? Yes, it is.

“Now, if VC Aluko wishes not to hire any Igbo staff or personnel is that NOT his rights, same as that Igbo VC. Heck yes!

“So, what is Ezeana’s point, if any? Listen, you are turning off some of your fans with your narrowness or myopic presentations in the fora. If you are bored, donate your time or do something constructive for your own good.

“VC Aluko, just like any VC in Nigeria, is not OBLIGATED to any singular Igbo cause nor “subject to” Diaspora bullshits in the fora, especially that from an individual with twisted Igboness viewpoint.

KC Prince Asagwara, reading said, “…Now, about your headship of Otueke Federal University, I neither believe nor expect that you will build anything less than a stellar institution of higher learning given your exposure to the how of institutional development in the USA and Europe. Also, you being a very highly charged lightning rod for controversy, I want to discount the probability that your fingers would be found sticky in the cookie jars of Otueke University for your own very sake, name, image and reputation.

“Besides, you are very much aware that eyes of friends and foes are on you to either see you succeed or fail. I am among those that believe you will live up to the fiduciary standards of probity required; meet the expectations in building a solid learning institution captivating to the eyes and mind for its aesthetics, infrastructural tinctures and academic reputation by the time your VC period comes to an end.

“My fear is that given your Yoruba ethnocentric disposition, the kind of diversity in personnel and student body expected of a federal university in a multi-ethnic country that Nigeria is, as a goal, may not be achieved. On that score, it would be great, if I am proven wrong when your tenure at Otueke University comes to and end.
