Mr. “$1Million Is About N160Billion”, Gov. Rotimi Amaechi Bought His UN-Fellow Award By Donating (N) Billions Of Rivers Funds To UN Agencies–Republic Reporters

Update: E-X-P-O-S-E-D: Mr. “$1Million Is About N160Billion”, Gov. Rotimi Amaechi Bought His UN-Fellow Award By Donating (N) Billions Of Rivers Funds To UN Agencies–Republic Reporters. New York[RR] New York–Emerging credible reports indicate that Rivers State Governor Azubike Rotimi Amaechi, channeled millions and billions of Rivers State Funds to United Nations, UN Agencies in a purported ‘leadership in governance, infrastructural development, social development and distributional equity and justice programs, to gain access to UN institutions and its Award as part of his international achievement and status.

Dr. Lasbrey Uzoma Nze, reading our Republic Reporters revelation apparently was pissed. He said, that it is a shame. Adding that what these so-called leaders need is further training on mathematics.

Nze, said: “Perhaps some of the decisions taken by our leaders could have been better or more constructive if they had some capacity of mathematics; or if they had intellectuals advising them. it is mindbogglingly that a State Governor can be quoted repeatedly saying that “one million dollars is about 160 billion Naira”. That is very far from the fact, as one million dollars is not even up to one billion Naira not to talk of 160 billion. Precisely, by the going exchange rate, US $1.0 million is the equivalent of about N160 million. This figure is only 0.1% of N160 billion. It is not up to 1% of 160 billion. Ignorance is sometimes a disease..”, he said

For record, credible diplomatic sources at the UN-Head Quarters New York, who declined to give his name said, that UN and its multifaceted agencies are run by donations from Member States, corporations, groups, and dues from countries like United States (25% highest amongst member-States), France, Britain and others. “Yes, UN secretly and openly accept donations from anybody who wants an award from United Nations, UN and other recognitions.

The Diplomat said: “..Therefore, if a Governor of Oil & Gas rich State like Rivers State from Nigeria, crave for UN-recognition or have UN presence in his state, comes to UN and donates to certain UN-agencies he will of-course be awarded one UN fellow or another for donating sums that will in turn accelerate UN works overseas that seriously need these funds”, he told Republic Reporters New York.

“Apparently, Governor Amaechi’s donation runs in the millions of dollars from Rivers State funds to the UN-infrastructural development, social economic development and distributional equity and justice programs and much more..; and in return open UN offices for these agencies in locations were the funds are coming from, and reach other deals that both donors and UN are happy with…”, the diplomat added.

It is therefore, note worthy to read APC praise Amaechi to high heavens. “This award of Associate Fellowship of the United Nations Institute for Training& Research (UNITAR), to be awarded on Governor Amaechi in Geneva, Switzerland, on Wednesday, June 3, 2014, is no doubt well deserved in view of his monumental achievements in the educational sector since his assumption of office as Governor some seven years ago. It is instructive that this great recognition is coming hot on the heels of the conferment of the status of World Book Capital on the state capital, Port Harcourt,” Rivers APC said in a statement issued in Port Harcourt by the State Chairman, Dr. Davies Ibiamu Ikanya.

Additional note:”The party noted that the Amaechi administration has so far revolutionized the education sector in the state to the extent that Rivers has the best state in Nigeria education-wise with 21st century educational facilities, the type of which can only be found in the advanced countries of the world.

“In addition, the Amaechi Administration has promoted overall United Nations activities in the South-South geo-political zone of Nigeria through the provision of an outstanding facility that can house over 15 UN agencies in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital. As a result, there are five United Nations agencies in Rivers State at the moment and more are expected to follow in due course,” Rivers APC stated.

“We understand that previous recipients of this coveted Fellowship have been mainly drawn from the pool of Professors Emeritus with huge academic records in research in global governance, security, social justice, development, and environment preservation. This, therefore, highlights the significance of this very award – one in a long list of honours that speak eloquently about the unmatched track record of the Amaechi Administration,” the statement added.
Reading other reports one wonder what, “outstanding contributions to United Nations Institute for Training and Research Programmes in Nigeria, and for promoting overall United Nations activities in the South-South Geo-political Zone of the country by providing an outstanding facility with the capacity of housing over 15 UN agencies in Port Harcourt”, has done for the common man in Rivers State.

Now listen to Nigeria based UNITAR Country Director, Larry Boms praise Amaechi after siphoning funds meant for public amenities like good water, Roads, electricity, employment, and others, to UN Agencies.

He said: “Governor Amaechi is recognized for his leadership in governance, infrastructural development, social economic development and distributional equity and justice…”, the question then is where are the infrastructural development: the incomplete project that is all over Rivers State?

But UN, Mr. Boms is not done yet: “Besides the recognition the award bestows on the Amaechi administration, it has positioned Rivers State on the global map of United Nation Offices thanks to the governor’s support to UNITAR programmes. In the longer term, the presence of UNITAR would attract more UN agencies to Rivers State..”, he said. Observe that UN representative, Bom, didn’t say to the country, he said to Rivers State were the funds came from.

Curiously, UN country director for UNITAR, Mr. Boms declined to mention dollar amount that Governor Amaechi has donated to the UN-Agencies in the last 8-years.

But Mr. Boms was quick to tell us how UN agencies are present in Rivers State as if UN-Agencies translate to infrastructural development and good governance. Want until the funds ran out, UN-Agencies will fold and go. We have seen this in other countries before, when there no funds coming in and UN disappears.

“At the moment there are five United Nations agencies in Rivers State. Housing these agencies in Port Harcourt would open up job opportunities in the system for Rivers indigenes to get into international civil service”, Boms said.

Do you know how many award Bill Gates got from United Nations,UN,for donating millions and billions of dollars to the UN and her zillions of Agencies too numerous to mention; in return UN-assist Bill Gate get into countries far and near to assist Gates with his multi-million dollar business-nexus around the world, as he allegedly assist with global governance, security, social justice, development and environment preservation’, Republic Reporters uncovered, what Amaechi’s friends in social media dare not touch.

Amaechi if you are listening and reading him, accused Federal Government of moving Billions of dollars that supposedly meant for Rivers State, (which could equally be true) but the reality is that Amaechi dubiously failed to tell the unsuspecting Rivers State public that Amaechi is actually, and factually moving Rivers State Funds to UN Agencies to buy him worthless UN-Fellow Award, running in millions of dollars if not billions, for his own selfish aggrandizement and personal political ambitions. Joining All Progressive Congress, APC, Amaechi said: “provision of water
and other infrastructural development was key for him to leave PDP. But the truth is that both PDP and APC are corrupt.

Listen to Rotiimi Amaechi on why he left PDP: “After the verification and recommendation by the Agencynto the Federal Government, they have refused to release the sum of One million dollars for the clean-up and development of the area. As I am talking to you today, the Federal Government is doing nothing about the UNEP report. One million dollars is about 160 billion naira, but the Federal Government has been spending billions in other places. But, you need to ask yourselves one question, what did Ogoni do against the federal government that they cannot release 160 billion naira to save your environment.

“That is the reason I left PDP for APC, because, our interest is not protected in PDP. So, when they cannot give the people of Ogoni 160 billion naira, which is not even enough for their kids to
travel around America and London, if they cannot give to Ogoni people, why should you
vote them?” he added.

But Republic Reporters investigations also show that Ogoni Nation was awarded over 100 Millions of dollars for the same oil clean up in Ogoni-land. The aforementioned funds went into individual pockets within the rank and file of purported Ogoni-leadership and her power brokers, while the commoners in Ogoni land are left in tattered with no clean water, rubbished land that hider farming opportunities, while, Ogoni big-wigs are overseas, for example, United States, UK, France, Germany, and other Europeans countries, living in Mansions with funds meant for oil cleaning, including ecological degradations, sundry challenges that face the land, which, have in fact, ravaged the land for decades.

Truth be said, 100Million dollars award in New York Court will not be enough to clean oil spill that have destroyed former Eastern Region including Ogoni-land this past 40-years. But, it is a good start if Governor Rotimi Amaechi and Ogoni-Nation (particularly its leadership who fly to and fro, Ogoni-land and Overseas, are honest to themselves when it comes to oil spill in the entire former Eastern Region, (Ogoni-land included) of what is today called Nigeria.

Back on Rotimi Amaechi. Record shows that Amaechi impregnated Soyinka’s daughter early this year, and denied it. Connections: Gov. Rotimi Amaechi donated millions of Naira to Wole Soyinka’s book launch in Rivers State’s Liberty Stadium sometime ago, in return, Mr. Soyinka gave his daughter to Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

Meanwhile, insiders at Rivers State Government House, told our source that Governor Azubike Rotimi Amaechi allegedly sleeps with his female Commissioners and other women who were pushed by their husbands in search of job opportunity in Rivers State and beyond. Amaechi denied any affairs with Soyinka’s daughter.

On impregnated of Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka’s daughter and that his wife, Judith, had run away from Government House, Port Harcourt, he called it rumour spread by his his political detractors.

Amaechi said: “I read a story that I impregnated Prof. Wole Soyinka’s (Nobel laureate’s) daughter. That she is living in my house and my wife has run away. The story was bad. I had to call back my wife, so that they would know that she had not divorced me. She was not planning to do Christmas in Nigeria.

“She (Judith Amaechi) is back to see her husband, spend time with the husband, do some of her functions as wife of the governor, so that they will know that I am still married. Not just that I am still married, I am a Catholic.

“My marriage is as solid as a Catholic marriage. There is absolutely no room for divorce. What you have is room for annulment. There is only one ground for annulment of marriage in Catholic Church that is the marriage never took place. That means the woman either deceived him to marry her or the man deceived her into marrying him. Any other thing is called for better, for worse”, he claimed.
