Nigeria, Behold your New Colonial Masters: The FULANI Cattlemen. Congratulations! You really have progressed!! Congratulations!!! You have Truly Arrived in the 21st Century Modern World!–Rev. Dr. Kingsley Obi Jon-Ubabuco

New York[RR]Abuja–Rev. Dr. Kingsley Obi Jon-Ubabuco reacting to ongoing killings by Fulani-herdsmen and its life patron, Mohammadu Buhari said congratulations to what he called “Nigerians”. His words: “Nigeria was forcefully made a British Colony by Amalgamation in 1914. The people had no choice in the matter. It was by British Force.

“Educated and civilized Nigerian men and women felt insulted by their land being referred to as a Colony, and being ruled by the British; they said NO.

“Educated and thinking Nigerians fought by written and spoken words, and by appealing to the conscience of men and women of good-will who had heart and mind and respect for human dignity got Britain to let Nigeria become an independent nation. And without firing a gun or losing a life, Nigeria obtained its Independence and freedom in 1960.
“In 1960, as school children, we marched, lined up and received our Independence Flag; Received and drank from our Iko-Independence (Drinking Cup); danced our Egwu-Independence; sang “Nigeria we hail thee,” and thought we were on the path to progress.

“That was then.  Today, in 2018, Nigeria is welcoming its new Colonial Masters: The Fulani Herdsmen and their Cattle.
“Today, while other countries are establishing Space Stations and Satellite Launching Stations, Nigeria Government is FORCEFULLY taking lands from the people and giving them to Fulani Cattlemen and women for perpetual succession as Fulani Cattle Colonies.

“Anyone who does not see this Cattle Colony for the Trojan Horse that it is, is really not thinking at all.

“Even the term “Cattle Colony” is very, very offensive, especially considering our  history as a former Colony that worked very hard to shed off its colonial past and heritage.

“With the establishment of the Cattle Colonies, how would the Cattle and Herdsmen be moving and getting from colony to colony if not through the path of destruction of farms and farmlands that are on the sides of the roads and the paths the Cattlemen choose to pass through while their cattle are having a field day (no pun intended) on the fields and farms that they traverse along the way?

“The so-called Leaders in some of the Southern States are thinking of taking Igbo lands to present to their New Colonial Masters, so they (the so-called leaders) may stand better chance of obtaining personal and political favors from the ventriloquists that pull the strings from Aso Rock, better think twice, because this will not be tolerated.

“Anything less than working towards establishing a sovereign nation for Igbos and Southerns is NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Our ultimate goal is the establishment of a sovereign nation where our people will have control of their present life, culture, religion, and destiny.

“May God give us men and women with head and heart, and guts to think and to act like humans created in God’s image and with wisdom. Lord have mercy!

Igbo leaders of thought convened in Abuja to deliberate upon recent developments in the country and came up with a press release which is published in full at www.lnc-usa.org. Three issues of great importance and extreme urgency were focused upon by the Igbo Leaders of Thought namely: the “Cattle Colony” executive order given by President Buhari, ethnic cleansing of indigenous peoples of Benue and elsewhere in the Middle Belt and the need for urgent geopolitical Restructuring of Nigeria. The leadership caucus rejected the so-called Cattle Colony project proposed for implementation in all states of Nigeria by the Buhari administration. They explained that Alaigbo is already densely populated and there is no space to spare for commitment to establishment of Cattle Colony.

The rumor that the Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, has already given land to Abuja for establishment of a Cattle Colony compelled a dire warning from the Igbo Leaders of Thought. The group cautioned that “the governors, as the chief executives of the states, hold the land in their states in trust for the people……… Governors in Igboland are, therefore, advised in their own interest not to give out any land in Alaigbo for Cattle Colony as our people will vehemently resist it”. The thought leaders noted that many other countries that produce larger quantities and better quality of beef and dairy products, such as Brazil, Argentina, US, Australia, China etc raise their livestock in ranches. Open grazing of cattle is anachronistic and inefficient way of engaging in animal husbandry in today’s 21st Century world.

To eliminate all doubt, the Igbo leaders of thought reasserted their commitment to immediate geopolitical restructuring of the country “involving the devolution of powers to the states is imperative for the peaceful co-existence of the different ethnic nationalities that were bundled together by the imperial overlord without their consent”. The Yoruba Ibadan summit of September 7, 2017 had not only opted for restructuring, but also came out strongly to reject the 1999 Constitution as basis for governance in the country, going forward. Specifically, the Ibadan communique warned that the scheduled 2019 general elections shall not be allowed in Yoruba land unless the geopolitical restructuring of Nigeria is completed beforehand. The constituents of the Lower Niger, of which Alaigbo is an integral part, have also predicated the conduct of 2019 general elections on completion of Restructuring without which no further elections shall be permitted in the entire territory.
