Update: RE: “Atiku Attacks Buhari”,REPUBLIC REPORTERS Stands By Its Story, Despite What Enemies Of Alternative Opinion Say

New York[RR] New York–Our attention has been drawn to a press statement by All Progressive Congress, APC,captioned: ““The False Representation of Alhaji Atiku Abubukar’s Statement welcoming the aspiration of General Buhari by Republic Report(ers)”By APC-Agent,Okoi Obono-Obla.

We want to unequivocally and categorically state that Republic Reporters Headquartered in New York stands by its story irrespective of unnecessary attack by APC, agent, Okoi Obono Obla, against our volunteers in the cause of freedom and alternative opinion.

In the issue Republic Reporters published October 4, 2014, reflected the remarks made by Abubakar Atiku, in his welcome press statement of fellow APC, and hopeful APC-presidential Candidate, Mohammadu Buhari.

In the piece by Daily Trust, written by Wale Odunsi, categorically stated statement made by Atiku in his welcome address to Buhari, titled: “I look forward to an open, free APC primary” – Atiku welcomes Buhari’s decision to contest”, focused on APC Members and not PDP, as alluded by Mr. Obono-Obla. The attack was between APC vs APC. The statement was never directed to PDP, as alluded and twisted by Mr. Obono-Obla.

Here is part of the text of Atiku’s statement beneath:
“I believe that the country has failed in these areas because of the excessive centralization of functions and resources to the government at the center.

“The government that the APC plans to lead in the next few months, by the grace of God, will be fully committed to devolution of powers and resources to the state governments in line with the manifesto of our great party. I also plan to march this resolve with a full commitment to ensuring transparency in all sectors of our national life.

“I am equally disturbed about the way our people have been divided along ethnic and religious fault lines and how we are steadily and dangerously losing a sense of community where every Nigerian can live together without mutual suspicion.

“I believe that the next president of our country, who by the grace of God will be produced by our great party, must be someone who is a unifier, bridge-builder and not someone who bears ethno-religious bias. Above all, he must embody a vision of a Nigeria for all.

“I have no doubt in my mind that we both share a common concern about rescuing our country from the deadly grip of the PDP and it is on this note that I do warmly welcome him on board in this very important national rescue mission.

“I look forward to meeting him in an open, free and fair contest for the ticket”, he added.

Therefore, for APC and its agent, Obono Obla to turn around to attack Republic Reporters is egregiously infantile and unacceptable in the 21st century.

Republic Reporters wishes to advise APC, to blame whoever that wrote their press statement for Abubakar Atiku, rather than direct its conflicted anger against Republic Reporters.

We are surprised that Mr. Obono Obla on October 5, 2014, mischievously wrote:

“We are therefore pleasantly surprised and flummoxed that an online publication called Republic Reporters in its edition of 4th October, 2014 has set out to mischievously distort, falsified, slant and take out of context the statement made by Alhaji Abubukar and suggest that Alhaji Abubukar statement to the effect that the next president to be produced by the APC in the next election who must be a unifier, bridge-builder and not somebody who bear ethno-religious bias was referring to General Buhari recalled him “ a Religious Zealot”.

Adding, that, APC, “..have painstakingly, dispassionately and carefully studied the statement made by Alhaji Abubukar which was published in several newspapers yesterday and the version carried by the so-called Republic Reports and found to our consternation and chagrin that some ill intentioned hiding under the ubiquity internet are being sponsored by agents of PDP and the Jonathan’s administration to instigate a fight in the opposition camp to weakened the resolve of Nigerians to vote out the clueless, corruption infested and purpose less Jonathan’s Federal Government come 2015 election.

Curiously, Stating that: “Undoubtedly, Alhaji Abubukar was alluding to President Jonathan who has continued to use ethnicity and religion to divide Nigerians for his selfish political agenda..”.

But reviewing the same statement shows that Atiku talked about “Our party” which APC. unless, Mr. Obono Obla, is categorically stating that Abubakar Atiku belongs to both APC, and PDP.

Obono Obla, had dubiously added that:
“It is worthy to note that the so called Republic Reporters is an online newspaper owned by pernicious, ultra conservative ethnic champion and religious bigots under the pay roll of the PDP and Jonathan’s administration. It is one of the instruments created by the PDP and Jonathan’s regime to use it to divide, fragment and rule Nigerians to cover up the bumbling incompetence and purposelessness of the regime. We therefore warn all Nigerians to take whatever comes out of the stable of the Republic Report(ers) with a pinch of the salt. It is not a reliable and credible medium. It is a propaganda outfit of the Jonathan’s administration and PDP,”he fumed.

Republic Reporters deny the aforementioned statement. The statement is ridiculously baseless and unfounded as Republic Reporters is on nobody’s pay roll, be it PDP or APC or any party in what is called Nigeria for that matter.

Republic Reporters therefore wishes to call the attention of the general public and our readership to ignore foregoing conjunctures filled with frustrated tendencies coming from certain Obono-Obla, at this time of the year. We will continue tell the truth to the power, and will aggressively report it the way we see without fear or favor.

Sincerely,

Management

Update: Atiku Attacks Buhari, Says:”We, (Nigerians) Don’t Need A Religious Zealot to Lead Us”–Republic Reporters

New York[RR] Abuja–Emerging rivalry between two All Progressive Congress, APC, leaders, former VP, Abubukar Atiku and former military Dictator, Mohammadu Buhari, show there is competition as to who more qualified to lead, APC, in 2015 presidential election, verses incumbent President Jonathan, Republic Reporters investigation demonstrate.

In a press statement to alluding to welcoming APC, leader, Buhari, to the 2015 party’s presidential candidature, in FCT, Abuja, yesterday, Atiku told fellow contenders, seeking APC’s flag, to stay to ethno-religious zealotry, and all forms of discrimination.

Atiku Abubakar said, “I believe that the next president of our country, who by the grace of God will be produced by our great party, must be someone who is a unifier, bridge-builder and not someone who bears ethno-religious bias. Above all, he must embody a vision of a Nigeria for all.”

According to the statement titled: “Atiku Welcomes Buhari, Says He’s Committed To Free And Fair Presidential Primary”, Atiku said the task of rescuing Nigeria is a duty leaders of the APC are committed to and, “the more individuals are ready to be part of the mission to rescue the country, the better.”

“Nigeria has floundered for far too long. Our people are yearning for a change and we must listen to them before they lose faith in the ability of their leaders to revive the country.

“You will recall that in my declaration speech penultimate week, I did mention that my priority, if given the chance to run and serve as the President of Nigeria is addressing the issues of jobs creation and providing decent employment for Nigerians, especially the youths.

“I believe that it is only when we can provide decent jobs for our young people, that we can have a hope for the decent future for our country.

“It is also not in doubt that of recent, successive administrations have failed woefully in building the infrastructure that can promote a healthy economy: our education system is in shambles, public health system is in virtual comatose, we have very poor network of roads totally at variance with the wealth of a country that is the seventh oil producer in the world.

2015: “Well, I hope the Buhari PR guys and image makers are on standby to counter..”Atiku’s Remarks: ”We, (Nigerians) Don’t Need A Religious Zealot to Lead Us”–Aliyu Bala Aliyu

New York[RR] Abuja–Atiku Attacks Buhari, Says:”We, (Nigerians) Don’t Need A Religious Zealot to Lead Us”, published by Republic Reporters and other news portals, is making headlines, as Aliyu Bala Aliyu called on Buhari Vanguard to watch former VP, advising that Atiku and group will get dirtier, as 2015 gets nearer, Republic Reporters has learned.

Atiku said, yesterday: “I believe that the next president of our country, who by the grace of God will be produced by our great party, must be someone who is a unifier, bridge-builder and not someone who bears ethno-religious bias. Above all, he must embody a vision of a Nigeria for all.”

According to Aliyu Bala Aliyu, “”Well, I hope the Buhari PR guys and image makers are on standby to counter this and many more. And lest they forget, Atiku and company have just started. They will get dirtier as events unfold…And for heavens sake, rather than always countering Buhari’s traducers [with abuses, expletives and yabis], isn’t it about time they (his image handlers) proactively portrayed him in the best of lights?

Nebukadineze Adiele, reacting said,”JUI,Atiku is being stupid and at the same time thinking that Nigerians are totally stupid. Here are some of his words:
“Is Atiku Abubakar not being a religious nut case through his ignorant utterance in the above excerpt? He injected God in the presidential election but turned around to insinuate that someone else does so.

“He knows his audience — dumb Nigerians who do not read between the lines. So far, between Buhari and Abubakar, the later is the one who has injected religious zealotry by invoking God into a secular contest; Buhari has not done that. Atiku’s cunningness is that there are sufficient numbers of gullible Nigerians who will fall for his dirty politics. Unfortunately, the reactions so far, on these forums, indicate that he is correct.

“General Buhari is not going to force himself on Nigerians. For sure, he will defeat Atiku in the primary election and he will not play dirty and dishonest politics to get there. In a free and fair election, he will beat Ebele into stupor and that is what he and his supporters expect next year. But should Nigerians reject him, because they stupidly believed vile propaganda, the great General will still have had a fulfilled life; the loss would be Nigerians’, not his.

“Yes, he asked us not curse out anyone. I doubt that I can obey that injunction in light of this type of dishonesty as displayed by Atiku Abubakar.

Eze chukwuemeka Eze added, ” Nebu my brother! U need to read any of these links below on this title – “2015: How To Rescue Nigeria From PDP Inept Leadership” to read ur great comment but blame me if u fail to read it – “My good friend, Hon Nebukadineze Adiele, while commenting on this latest scandal stated: “Notwithstanding whatever excuses that Nigeria is making today, the transporting of $9.3 million into South Africa alone is a criminal act of money laundering. It violated the various monetary policies of the entire world: it violated currency laws in Nigeria, South Africa, U.S. (it is its currency), and any nation whose airspace was passed as the money moved. That the money was for illegal arms purchase is another violation of the laws of the entire world. It violated almost every anti-arms trafficking laws of Nigeria, South Africa, and all the nation’s whose airspace was entered throughout the journey. It was also a violation of any international treaty entered into by Nigeria, with respect to arms control or illegal trafficking in arms. Through this transaction, Nigeria has disgraced itself and President Jonathan has (once more) brought his incompetence to the international stage.”

“The False Representation of Alhaji Atiku Abubukar’s Statement welcoming the aspiration of General Buhari by Republic Report(ers)”By APC-Agent,Okoi Obono-Obla

The Buhari Support Group Centre strongly condemn the attempt made by agents of the Peoples Democratic Party and the Jonathan’s administration to draw a wedge in the opposition by instigating a quarrel between General Muhammadu Buhari and Alhaji Atiku Abubukar through the deliberate , criminal ,distortion, misrepresentation and falsification of the statement made by Alhaji Atiku Abubukar welcoming the decision of General Buhari to seek the nomination as the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC; to make it look like if Alhaji Abubukar maligned General Buhari and called names .
The correct version of Alhaji Abubukar statement was accurately and corrected reported in the respected Daily Trust Newspaper of Friday October 3, 2014, page 19 titled “ APC Primaries: Atiku welcomes Buhari”. There is nowhere in the said publication where Alhaji Abubukar referred to General Buhari has “somebody who bears ethno-religious bias” or a Religious bigot as maliciously and falsely reported in the Republic Report.
We are therefore pleasantly surprised and flummoxed that an online publication called Republic Reporters in its edition of 4th October, 2014 has set out to mischievously distort, falsified, slant and take out of context the statement made by Alhaji Abubukar and suggest that Alhaji Abubukar statement to the effect that the next president to be produced by the APC in the next election who must be a unifier, bridge-builder and not somebody who bear ethno-religious bias was referring to General Buhari recalled him “ a Religious Zealot”. .
We have painstakingly, dispassionately and carefully studied the statement made by Alhaji Abubukar which was published in several newspapers yesterday and the version carried by the so-called Republic Reports and found to our consternation and chagrin that some ill intentioned hiding under the ubiquity internet are being sponsored by agents of PDP and the Jonathan’s administration to instigate a fight in the opposition camp to weakened the resolve of Nigerians to vote out the clueless, corruption infested and purpose less Jonathan’s Federal Government come 2015 election.
Undoubtedly, Alhaji Abubukar was alluding to President Jonathan who has continued to use ethnicity and religion to divide Nigerians for his selfish political agenda.
It is worthy to note that the so called Republic Report is an online newspaper owned by pernicious, ultra conservative ethnic champion and religious bigots under the pay roll of the PDP and Jonathan’s administration.
It is one of the instruments created by the PDP and Jonathan’s regime to use it to divide, fragment and rule Nigerians to cover up the bumbling incompetence and purposelessness of the regime.
We therefore warn all Nigerians to take whatever comes out of the stable of the Republic Report with a pinch of the salt. It is not a reliable and credible medium. It is a propaganda outfit of the Jonathan’s administration and PDP.

As we match slowly and gradually to the 2-015 election we warn Nigerians to be wary of such false publication by an increasingly desperate PDP and Jonathan’s regime in a macabre bid to ease off pressure and divert attention from its woeful record.
We wish to reiterate that General Buhari is a nationalist to the core who believe in the indissolubility of the country and have absolute respect of all Nigerians from diverse ethnic background and faith and had shown this during his public service career as a Military Commander, Military Governor, Minister, Head of State and Chairman of the Petroleum Trust Fund.
